What is Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT)?
“The eyes are the windows to the soul” is an often heard expression. We constantly use our eyes to access thoughts and memories. The eyes are a doorway into how we store those memories and associated emotions.
With the development of Integral Eye Movement Therapy or IEMT, emotional imprints from past events and identity imprints can be desensitised in order for a person to gain more freedom from the past. IEMT is a brief change work process that is capable of generating rapid change by addressing how a person learnt to feel or think about a particular thing.
What are the effects of IEMT?
Although it is not the be and end all of therapy in many cases it is common for clients to feel completely differently about an issue after this brief therapy IEMT process. This can begin with a feeling of uncertainty or confusion about a problem that previous to the process invoked a high degree of emotional reaction.
